GEOlight reduces construction carbon footprint
21 December 2007

Sustainable Drainage Systems Ltd is proud to announce that the GEOlight series of stormwater management products is reducing the carbon footprint of new developments in the U.K.
New figures show that for every cubic metre (m3) of GEOlight installed as either stormwater attenuation or infiltration, the carbon footprint of the project is reduced by upto 110 grams. For example a recently installed GEOlight attenuation tank of 2080m3 has reduced the carbon footprint for the client, main contractor,  groundworker, and therefore ultimately the entire scheme by 228,800 grams (228.8 kg).

Selecting GEOlight over other stormwater management products gives great benefits to the client (BREEAM assessment) and reduces the carbon footprint for the specific item of stormwater management considerably.
