Controlling the rate at which water is released from storage is essential to ensure its impact on the receiving land or water is managed correctly. Infiltration into already sodden or submerged ground, or attenuation/dispersal into water systems and bodies already struggling to accommodate the volume of natural water supply, can have significant detrimental  effect on the safety and security of life and infrastructure. The rate at which water is released can be controlled by a Vortex Flow Control (VFC). SDS supplies a range of VFCs and will specify the model that best meets the specific requirements of each installation.
